Homeward Bound

Well what a crazy few days we have had so far. Tonight we are in Sydney, ready to visit Nanna and Granddad tomorrow.

We left Perth last Sunday and headed to Merriden, a few hrs drive away. Next morning we were up early and got a big day in and got to Fraser Range Station. It was pretty cold there but we were nice and warm in the camper trailer with our heater.

Next day we crossed over the longest straight road stretch in Australia and got to Eucla which is right near the WA/SA border.

Mum and Dad got us up at 4.00am the next morning...it was dark and cold...we had a very very long day in the car and got all the way to Kimba which is the halfway point across Australia! It was about 800kms we did that day. That night it got down to 0 degrees and it was super cold when we got up the next morning.

From Kimba we headed to Renmark on the other side of SA. We stayed beside the Murray River and got to see some ducks with their ducklings. It was really nice there and Mum and Dad would like to go back there one day for a holiday.

Next day was Renmark to Wagga Wagga. Another big day but we knew we were going to be staying with friends of Mummy's there ....in a house! That was pretty exciting for us all. We even got pancakes made for us for breakfast!

So that brings us to today. Wagga Wagga to Sydney. We are here for 2 nights then we are heading home. Home to unpack and clean up.

Here are some pictures.

Perth

Well we finally made it to our destination - Perth! We went straight to Nanna and Grandpops place to say hello. Mum and Dad left us there while they went to set up camp.
We have been having a great time here. We have been to the beach (Hillary's Marina), Kings Park and out to tea at some of Daddy's Perth friends houses.

Here are some pics of our time so far.

Gracetown Adventures

We have been spending our days in Gracetown with our cousins Alex and Sienna and Aunty Ness and Uncle Kim. They live in Perth and it has been great getting to know them again. We have been doing lots of sightseeing.
We went to some wineries (its ok though we didn't try any...we just played on the playground), a cheese factory, a Maze park, the Chocolate Factory, the Nuts and Cereal Factory and just for Daddy...a Coffee Factory!
We also went to the Cape Naturaliste Lighthouse and it was sooo windy (as you can see in the photo!)

Day 11 Albany to Gracetown (Margaret River)

Ah what a day. We did some sightseeing around Albany in the morning and then it started to rain. So we said good bye to Mama and Baba for a few days and headed off to Gracetown. We didn’t arrive till tea time so we had to go off with Mummy and get tea sorted while Daddy put the trailer up

Day 10 Esperance to Albany

Another day of driving…but we made it in time to have a run on the beach! It was heaps of fun. Mummy and Daddy decided that we would stay in a 2 bedroom cabin tonight and it was really nice! Our last night before we get to stop for a few days break.

Day 9 Fraser Range Station to Esperance

A super early start to the day…5am!! All thanks to Josh who had to go to the toilet. Daddy saw some lightening in the sky so he decided that it was time to get up and pack up in case it rained. We didn’t starve too much as Mama brought us nice warm toast with Vegemite again while we waited in the car.
We went to a lovely beach called Twilight Beach and had a great time swimming and running around. Even Chloe loved it!
We went and saw a sea lion that lives under the jetty.

Day 8 Mundrabilla to Fraser Range Station

It was a cold start to the morning. We got out and played in the dirt with our cars in our pyjamas and jumpers on.
Today we drove on the Longest Straight Road Stretch in Australia. It went for 146kms.
We camped at a Station House and it was great! We set up and then went for a walk around the property, looking at horses and Baba told us all about the old shearing shed.
